The meeting, aimed at journalists and also open to the public, is part of the Earth Prize international program, the prize for the environment and landscape promoted by WEEC Network (Word Environmental Education Congress) and by the City of Luino and now in its second edition.

The Award aims to identify and recognize individuals, organizations and projects that can be replicated in other parts of the world, which aim to protect and enhance landscapes and environmental resources, in light of the climate changes underway.
The training meeting (3 credits, registrations on the Sigef platform), Sunday 13 October at 9.30-12, sees the participation of:

Stefano Mancuso. World renowned scientist, professor at the University of Florence, he directs the International Laboratory of Plant Neurobiology (LINV). Founding member of the International Society for Plant Signaling & Behavior, he has taught at Japanese, Swedish and French universities and is a full academic at the Georgofili Academy. He is the author of scientific books and hundreds of publications in international journals.
His speech is entitled “The Nation of Plants”

Mario Salomone. Author of books and director of eco magazine, sustainable education. WEEC Network General Secretary.

Angelo Mojetta. writes books and articles on the biology of fresh and marine waters. He teaches at the University of Milan and Padua and at the Civic Hydrobiological Station and Aquarium of Milan. He is the scientific director of the Elba Aquarium in Marina di Campo.

Donato Speroni. Asvis, Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development. Journalist. He teaches economics and statistics at the Institute for Journalism Training in Urbino. Among his most recent books: “2030 – the perfect storm – How to survive the great crisis”

Alessandro Borgini, ISDE Italia, deals with air pollution, health and climate

Maddalena Gioia Gibelli, Architect planning and designing agricultural and urban landscapes and the waterway of Expo 2015.

Giuseppe Barra, President of the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park, presents the Interreg project for cooperation between Italy and Switzerland INSUBRI.PARKS
